How to Become a Minimalist by 2020

“Out of clutter, find simplicity.  From discord, find harmony.  In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity” ~ Albert Einstein

Clutter equal chaos for me.  I can’t focus or relax when I come home and stuff is everywhere.  And guess what?  Stuff is ALWAYS everywhere because we have too much stuff.  We have 23 full weeks left in 2019.  We are going to spend the rest of this year on a road to minimalism.

First, if possible, purchase two large storage containers.  If you come across something important, like very important, store it there.  If not, get rid of it ASAP.  Donate it that same week.  Don’t let it linger in the car.  Say “bye bye” to crap!

I tried to balance tough weeks and tasks by following them with easier, lighter tasks.  If you finish a task, take a break for that week or move on to something, particularly something that you know may take you a while.  I’d love to see before and after pictures!  If you post a photo, tag #photosofthepack.

Remember to show yourself some grace in this process.  So many things we own hold a sentimental value in our heart.  Allow yourself to grieve and say goodbye to things that you once thought were so important, but have learned truly are not.  Most importantly, try not to replace stuff with more stuff.  I look forward to taking this journey with you.
